It has always been difficult to define the color lemon yellow precisely. The fruit actually differs depending on its degree of ripeness: yellow-green when not ripe, or orange-yellow when overripe - hard to tell! But in the end, most people see lemon yellow as a greenish-yellow color; so this vision wins out.
