PB15

This oil color is a modern, lightfast interpretation of the classic cobalt blue. This edition utilizes the high-performance PB15 pigment to recreate the original, brilliant and pure primary blue tone with improved color strength and unparalleled depth.

This PB15 edition is a fine-grained, intense and slightly cooler blue tone that is extremely pure:

• Luminous glazes: In its pure form straight from the tube, the color appears dark, but applied thinly over a light undercoat, it reveals an intense, luminous sky blue glow.

• Brilliant pastels: Mixed with titanium white, the color transforms into the classic, airy and daylight-pure cobalt blue hue, perfect for atmospheric effects and seascapes.

• Green and Violet Mixtures: Due to the extreme purity of PB15, it creates razor-sharp, vibrant green hues when mixed with yellow, and rich purple tones when combined with an organic red.
