Red-Orange 60 ml
PY1, PR3
This red-orange oil color is a warm, intense and bright transitional color that lies exactly on the border between the deep, passionate red and the energetic, vibrant orange.
If you mix this red-orange oil paint with titanium white, it doesn't break down into a cold, baby pink. Instead, it creates beautiful, warm coral and salmon hues, as well as realistic, warm skin tones.
Red-Orange, when made from a mixture of the pigments PY1 and PR3 , is a brilliant, intense and very vibrant organic color.
It imitates the classic, but toxic and expensive, cadmium or true vermilion colours. The mixture produces an explosive, warm colour, which, however, requires attention due to its specific chemical properties.
- PR3 (Toluidine Red) : A classic, synthetic-organic red pigment. It delivers an intense, warm and yellowish-red base with enormous coloring power.
- PY1 (Hansa Yellow G / Hansagul) : One of the earliest organic yellow pigments. It is a very pure and bright yellow that draws the red basestone into a flaming, luminous orange.
- Explosive and brilliant : The color appears as a fiery, saturated red-orange (tomato red or signal orange). It has a visual "brightness" rarely matched by earth tones, and it jumps out at the eye on the canvas.
- Pure in glaze layer : Since both pigments are organic, they provide a very pure and purified color tone without the muted or grayish undertones found in inorganic oxides.
