Vegetable oil extracted by pressing roasted flax seeds with subsequent clarification and purification, all using natural processes.
Raw linseed oil is a drying oil, meaning it tends to solidify over time (drying). Unlike boiled linseed oil, it is not subjected to heating (polymerization, which increases viscosity and shortens drying time). It therefore maintains a low viscosity, high penetration, excellent transparency and clarity, and a light yellow color.
Because of these properties, raw linseed oil is used in paints as a binder for pigments in the manufacture of oil paints.
Its greasy properties make it undoubtedly the most suitable oil for rubbing in colours, thereby achieving a very balanced consistency. Furthermore, it has been demonstrated that this oil, by hardening together with the colours, offers the greatest resistance to time and all atmospheric influences.
